Description

A Large Pair of 19th C Marble and Ormolu Mounted Lamps.

The circular caps with two bands of falling and overlapping leaves, above a spreading and ringed neck, broadening to the rounded shoulders. The shoulders with flowing entwined banding, meeting classical masks, set amongst leaf decorated fans. The bodies tapering to a ringed cup and waisted socle, before the ogee foot, held within floral gadrooned bands, over octagonal plinths, with fielded and scrolled bracket feet.

The lamps rewired and ready for use. The mounts of good quality casting and attractively patinated.

Country house scale.
