A C1850 Three Seater Gilded Wood Canape

A c1850 Louis XV Style Three Seater Canape with carved and giltwood decoration resting on cambered legs, covered with a tapestry decorated with a country scene which could be older in age

NOTE: This Canape forms part of a suite as there are six fauteils (listed as pairs) and a Fire Guard (listed) all of same period and material with different scenes.

CONDITION: Whilst being of solid construction some gilding has worn (as seen) commensurate with age , if a client wished them reguilded we can have this arranged and give a quote. The original Tapestry on the seat back is in good condition but the seat and arms show wear, again our upholsterer can quote to have these done in a material of your choice.
