A handsome and rare antique Victorian Gothic Revival coal scuttle attributed to Dr Christopher Dresser for Benham & Froud circa 1880. In wonderfully aged oak with original patina and decorated with fancy patinated iron strap work fittings. It features a turned handle and pegged construction, the lid lifts to reveal a removable liner. A handsome addition to any fireplace, ideal for storing coal or kindling.
