A majestic antique Victorian necklace featuring a fabulous gallery consisting of eleven droppers and sixteen deep purple amethysts that range from approx. 0.80ct to 6ct (approx. 32ct total). Each stone is bezel set with a rope edge and surrounded by beautiful, scrolling cannetille metalwork all fashioned in 18ct gold.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
