On offer is a truly fabulous example of an Original Late 19th-century Oil on Canvas Farmland Painting by British-listed artist Samuel Joseph Clark (1834-1912).
 
The wonderful image portrays an expansive Farm landscape setting with a young, pretty milkmaid who walking a young Dairy Cow to the milking shed on a long leash.
 
The scene is wonderfully atmospheric with other cattle grazing whilst chickens roam around the tranquil grounds.
 
The work is mounted within the amazing quality original pierced and scrolled gilt and gesso frame.
 
It is signed by the artist, lower left corner S.J.Clark.
 
This is a fabulously presented painting that is ready to be hung and enjoyed immediately.
 
Artist bio:
 
Samuel Joseph Clark was an English Painter of animals, barnyards and farm scenes.
 
He was a member of the Clark family of painters, all of whom painted horses and animal paintings.
