Circa 1920.
The popular design style has spread across the Balkan region and into western Turkey. These are outstanding furnishing kilims with a very unique style in a wide range of designs and colours.
This example is of a classic design with a warm red ground, the ivory border is filled with traditional design in pastel colours. The weave is typically fine and tight.
Very good condition with slight wear. Suitable for normal domestic use.
Hand washed and ready for use.
