Description

A George V era of elegance silver ribbon top photo frame with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1919. The makers mark is partly rubbed apart from the initial M (which could be for Henry Matthews). The plain silver rectangular frame is mounted on a sturdy oak easel back. The silver frame wraps round the sides of the easel frame. It is embellished with an inward scroll at each corner and is mounted with a silver ribbon top surmount, very much in fashion at the time. The easel back stands well. Both frame and back are in very good condition for the age.
