This is a pretty little Edwardian sterling silver mustard pot, made by Elkington and Co. Birmingham, 1909. It is cauldron shaped, with a delicately moulded, decorated edge, and raised on three stylish paw feet. It has a double c-scroll handle. The lid has a vase finial. This piece retains its original cobalt, blue glass liner, which fits well. There is a proportionate, Elkington''s, silver-plated mustard spoon, which may have been supplied originally with the piece. With no damage and no repairs, it is in very good antique condition. There is one tiny push to the main body. The hinge is strong and in good order and the hallmarks (on the main body and the lid) are clear. In all, this is a nice little piece.
