Small Edwardian Silver Elephant Pin Cushion by Sydney & Co, Birmingham 1906

Description

This small and exquisite novelty silver pin cushion in the form of an elephant was made by Sydney & Co and is dated Birmingham 1906. It is fitted with a dark blue velvet cushion.

Hallmarks:

S&Co for Sydney & Co.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "g" for 1906.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Dimensions:

Length up to tail: 4cm / 1.6 inches.

Height: 3.5cm / 1.2 inches.

Width: 1.5cm / 0.4 inches.

Condition:

Silver casing in good condition with a couple of minute dings and a little creasing round the edge on the cushion, commensurate with age.

Cushion in good condition.

Sits firmly on its legs.

No repairs.
