This very special and spectacular early Smiths desk clock was especially made for probably either the Chairman or Chief Executive Officer of the then Alvis Motor Car Company and dates to around 1940. Very heavily chromed throughout and featuring a simulated tortoise shell style number outer ring. Just a magnificent desk clock, possibly a one off. Full working order keeping time. Size Clock face including frame 7.5cm square, base 12.5cm long by 4cm deep and a hight of 10cm. A very special clock with the Alvis Car Company connection.
