Art Deco Faun and Bona Dea Book Ends. c1930. Carved alabaster books with a mottled brown marble spine. Bronze Faun and Bona Dea or is it Satyress? Verdigris patination to the bronzes, each has a foundry mark to the underneath of a hoof, stating �Made in Austria� along with a motif which I haven�t been able to identify. Each book stands 6 inches (15cm) tall by 4� inches (11.5cm) wide. The bronzes are in excellent condition, the alabaster has one or two niggles, see images, otherwise in excellent order.
