The base modeled as a Griffin seated on a plinth, the bowl with laurel wreath base and baluster ribbed body, all with turquoise glaze.
 
122cm high.
 
An old paper note attached to the vase reads “From Amisfield House Haddington. Purchased from the Earl of Wemyss before the house was demolished after World War I. Around 1922”.
