This superb finely detailed model of an 18th century cannon is very well engineered. It has large distinctive front spoked wheels with studded traction around the outer rim and a similar small rear version to aid movement. The plain robust carriage supports the large decorative ring turned barrel which has a row of circular handles down each side for transporting or pulling. The model is displayed on a very pleasing stepped and moulded hardwood base which is mounted with a small group of cannon balls under the barrel and finished around the outer edge with shaped bronze pillars and a perimeter chain. This very fine model is in excellent original condition.
