In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Some stencils come with 2 interlocking parts and some just have 1 part. The size of the stencils vary but the letter plates are roughly 4" (10cm) high x 2 1/2" (6.5cm) wide.
The set comes in its original wooden box with sections for each piece and its original paper label.
The whole set is in good condition for its age and has obviously been well looked after. The stencils themselves are in good order with some minor wear, dinks and light tarnishing but no major damages. The box has got a few knocks and marks but is strong and sturdy.
