Lord George Nevill, 1st Earl of Abergavenny Coat Of Arms. A superb framed Coat of Arms, mounted in a faux tortoise shell frame, George Nevill, 1st Earl of Abergavenny, known as Lord Bergavenny from 1744 to 1784, was an English peer. He married into a branch of the Pelham family seated at Stanmer and briefly held office as Lord Lieutenant of Sussex. Created an earl in 1784, he died the following year. C1900
Kent Chislehurst Coat of Arms Right Hon Thomas Townsend Baron Sydney 1764. Thomas Townshend became British Home Secretary in 1782. His responsibilities included managing immigration and citizenship. In 1783, Thomas became Baron Sydney of Chislehurst and entered the House of Lords as Lord Sydney. He chose Sydney as a name in honour of a distant relative named Algernon Sidney.
These framed Coat of Arms are in original condition and come as a pair, they would make a great set of frames in a library or hallway.
