This is a stunning and very unusual 19th Century large French turquoise glass apothecary jar. The front with a gilt and black edged porcelain label with latin inscription. Fitted with a green and gilt tole peinte cover. Smooth pontil mark to the base,

Height: 25cm / 10 inches.

Diameter: 9.5cm /3.6 inches.

Condition:

Reasonable to good.

Original tole peinte lid with some distress.

Chip at the base.
