This superb quality Arts & Craft spot-hammered silver bowl was most certainly made by A. E. Jones for the retailers Bruford & Sons. It is dated London 1933. The circular twin-handled silver bowl standing on four satyr mask hoof feet and with pierced lattice and floral decoration just below the rim. Finished with a lightly hammered surface and with comfortable finger plates immediately above the handles.
A.E. Jones produced pieces for other silversmiths and retailers. This is definitely one of his designs.
