Gents 1960s Luxor chronograph wrist watch.

The watch has a 17 jewel Landeron 51 hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 36mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in lovely condition. The case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens has a light scratch, just 3.5mm long, but it is difficult to see with the naked eye.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands and two subsidiary dials, one for constant seconds and the other to record up to 30 minutes. The record sub dial includes markers at three, six and nine minutes. These were aimed at the business man who made international telephone calls which were very expensive at the time. The calls were rounded to chargeable chunks of three minutes and so watch making companies came up with this scale to help people control their talking duration. Nice faceted markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a Luxor presentation box, a bit tatty on the inside but still nice to have.
