Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Brave Fine Art

This early 20th-century portrait study depicts a young woman turned two-thirds in repose. She wears a black top.

It’s a rather striking academic work but the artist remains a mystery. It’s interesting to see the change of direction with adjustments made on the left, presumably altering the head and neck size.

Signed/dated ‘Lee 1932’ in the lower right and held in a frame from the period, which is probably original.
