George I / Queen Anne Early C18th Carved Walnut Tapestry Upholstered Side Chair (georgian)

An early C18th (Circa 1700 - 1720), Queen Anne to George I period, walnut framed side chair. With solid vasiform back splat, over drop in seat covered in tapestry fabric. Rounded broad seat rails, raised on cabriole front legs topped with carved shells, on off-set pad feet, splayed rear legs, with turned and chamfered blocks. All supported by turned stretchers.
 
A handsome and quality chair, with some minor flaws, but in good condition and ready for use.

This chair measures approximately 99.25 cm (39'') tall, 46.25 cm (18.25'') wide, and 43 cm (17'') deep. The seat height is approximately 45 cm (17.75'').
