A quality double fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell of 8-day duration. A nice quality graduated scale pendulum adjustment. Engraved by the maker to the backplate. Circa 1825.

Peter Le Gros of London is recorded in Loomes' 'Watchmakers & Clockmakers of The World' book as working in 1828. He is also noted as a mechanical model maker so a talented maker.
