A fine Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester Porcelain Cabinet Cup c.1815 - 1820. Of French Empire style, the flared rim cup, with bulbous body on a pedestal foot, cobalt blue ground, finely decorated with a continuous frieze containing fancy birds in a landscape in the manner of George Davis. The interior of the rim decorated in gilt with an anthemion and Harebell border. Unusual winged ''Caryatid'' handle, reminiscent of French Empire porcelain vases of the early 19th century. Script mark in red to the base referring to the London House, Coventry Street address.
Condition: Professional restoration to a small section of the rim. A few small scratches to the painting.
