A C19th, matched set of six, elm and ash framed, rush seated, Lancashire type, country dining chairs. These chairs feature a double row of turned spindles back, turned style uprights, over rush woven seats, raised on rounded front legs with off-set pad feet, squared rear legs, all supported by stretchers.

These chairs measure approximately 96 cm (38'') tall, 44 cm (17.25'') wide, and 48 cm (19'') deep. The seat height is approximately 43 cm (17''). One chair seat if a little lower at 41.5 cm (16.5'')
Condition:
Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a reasonable and very serviceable condition, commensurate with their age, and are structurally sound and sturdy. Three have a very small amount of play in the joints, not worthy of tightening. All loose joints in need of tightening were tightened when we serviced these. There are some ag
...e related marks and blemishes on the frames. Few minor old repairs. Front seat rail cover absent from one chair. Seats are all sound and very usable, with some missing the odd fraying strand of reed. Some old extinct wood worm holes, not structurally affecting, which have mostly been filled and polished over, and have all been treated by way of precaution and future prevention. Serviced, cleaned and waxed, and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
