Large 19th c Wood Carved Mirror by Gabriel Veridot c.1880

Beautiful large wood carved mirror by French cabinet and wood craftsman Gabriel Viardot 1830-1906

Parisian born Gabriel Viardot had worked for the court of Napoleon III and started his own workshop

in 1853, his work was shown on exhibitions all over the globe.

The large mirror depicts two storks and a waxing moon shaped facetted mirror.

The mirror was made to stand on a sideboard, table or on the floor.

Some old repairs to the woodwork.
