A Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester Porcelain Oval Dessert Dish c.1810. The centre very finely decorated with a view of White Abbey, near Limerick. The boarder decorated with a salmon ground, with anthemion and dart gilt pattern.
The landscape pictured here is after the landscape painter, Thomas Walmsley, who was born in Ireland, settled in London in 1790, and died in Bath in 1806, where he had retired due to ill health. At first he exhibited mainly scenes from Wales and the Lakes, but in 1796 he showed Irish views, some of which were engraved as aquatints.
Condition: Excellent with just some very slight surface wear
