A lovely matched pair of Vernacular stick chairs dating from the end of the eighteenth century or very early nineteenth in elm and beech, probably North Wales. In a well used bleached finish with signs of historic ( treated ) wood worm, old repairs and later side stretchers for the legs but still strong and sturdy. Seat height 36cm.
