Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Regency era.
A fantastic restored Rosewood large tilt top table.
This table has been fully restored so is in stunning condition with a gleaming French polished finish which shows off the tables beautiful wild Rosewood fiddle-back grain.

This very rare table features its stunning Rosewood top above its striking descending barrel turned pillar going to its substantial and beautifully crafted triform base which stands on turned bun feet of which conceal its original brass castors. Unusually and as a sign of quality this tilt top table has no movement or play in the mechanism as the table is being normally used, the top is flat and its high quality brass snap latch operates with little effort and a satisfying click. The table is also complete with its original brass table screws to remove the top. The table has its original polish which we have revived and brought back to glorious condition via the skilfull technique of amalgamation with Shellac French polish by our in house master French polisher.

This table can comfortably accommodate 6 chairs and be used as a formal dining room or even a centre or breakfast table. Already not taking up too much room because of this shape, the top tilts upright for storage with its original quality brass table screws.

This item is in outstanding restored condition as shown by the photographs however being an antique item of this age there are blemishes and scuffs here and there which we feel adds to its originality and heritage.
