This is an elegant antique Victorian Gon�alo Alves writing table by Edwards & Roberts, Circa 1850 in date. The top is inset with a gold tooled burgundy leather writing surface above two frieze drawers and it is raised on elegant superbly carved twin turned tapering legs that terminate in carved trestles joined by a stretcher and raised on decoratively carved cabriole legs. It bears the impressed stamp for Edwards & Roberts on one of the drawers and it is finished on all sides so that it can stand freely in the centre of your room. Complete with working locks and key.
