Rare Antique French Satinwood Commode C1880

Description

This fabulous commode is made of satinwood (a rare wood) and has the cabinet maker's label on the top drawer, Peyruse and Bergougnan of Toulouse.

It has fabulous quality mounts, the drawer liners are made of mahogany which is a sign of excellent quality and the dovetails are finely made.

It has a thick rouge marble top and is polished inside and out.

A great item of furniture.

113.5cm wide x 90.5cm high x 49cm deep 51.5cm. deep at sides where marble extends forward.
