Charming Oak Longcase Clock of Good Colour & Patina with Conch Shell & Banded Inlay to the Full Length Trunk Door by Charles Vaughan (I) of Pontypool, Wales.

Born Circa 1715.

Vaughan Dated some of his Clocks. This one is 1782 and must have been one of the last Clocks made by him. It is also a New Find as Previously Know Dated Clocks were between 1747 and 1780. Eg. 1747, 1749, 1759, 1760 and 1780.

There was also a Charles Vaughan (II) of Pontypool circa 1766 - Possibly his Son or a Nephew.

Approx Height 78.5in or 199.50cm, Width 55cm, Depth 29cm.

The 8 Day Movement has been Checked, Serviced & Tested to be in Good and Full Antique Working Order.
