Antique Victorian Ruby & Diamond Ring 18ct Gold Cluster Navette Design - 1886

We are delighted to offer this superb Victorian 18ct gold ruby and diamond navette ring made in Birmingham in 1886 by G.Bro.

Distinctly Victorian and distinguished from contemporary pieces, this gorgeous piece presents one central ruby encompassed by a cluster of 16 old-cut diamonds that glisten wonderfully, particularly under natural lighting.

The central ruby has an almost 'candy-like' pinkish-red hue that is so endearing. This colour creates a wonderful contrast to the surrounding diamonds which not only accentuates the glamour of the ring but brings your attention to the centre of the ring.

Furthermore, the ring itself is wonderfully crafted in antique 18ct gold with fine engravings on the 'shoulders' of the ring and fine claw settings.

Overall, a wonderful statement piece with no area left unembellished nor bland - a fine addition to any collection of antique jewellery lovers, whether be it as a special gift or an indulgent treat for yourself.

The ring is also exemplary of English antique gold hallmarking - this piece features full hallmarks on the inner band with crisp marks.
