In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The top has an inset red leather-effect surface and it stands on turned legs.
It is nicely finished on all sides so could be used against a wall or in the middle of a room. There is ample leg clearance of 24 3/4" / 63cm making it suitable to sit at or it would make a good console table or a fabulous retail display table.
The table is in very good condition with a lovely colour and patina. There are some minor marks and knocks but no major damages or anything detrimental. There are some old supporting metal brackets below the top but it is strong and sturdy. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
