Antique Edwardian Arts & Crafts Armchair.
A lovely English antique chair with American colonial influences.
We bring to you this charming Edwardian armchair in beautiful fully restored condition made from solid Oak around C1910. This unusual chair is made in the Arts & Crafts style, however, the legs have been influenced by the style of American colonial complete with its double bobbin turned stretchers. The chair has a slat back complete with a turned gallery top going to 2 converse swooping arms. The chairs padded seat has been fully rebuilt and re-upholstered in dark Burgundy full grain leather finished with a studded edge.
The chair stands on slender Colonial style bobbin turned legs with double stretchers between for strength, meaning the chair is not heavy and is lightweight for its strength.
This lovely desk chair has also been fully stripped and re-polished without any stains, showing the aged Medium oak hue, making this chair ready for its new home.
The chair would look great alongside an antique twin pedestal desk or just as an accent chair. At the time of writing we do have in stock an American Pedestal desk which it would suit.
This item is structurally solid, in good order with no loose joints or breaks and has been thoroughly checked over in our workshop.
