This clock has a restored decorative brass dial with spandrels to the corners, a matted finish to the dial inner and a silvered chapter ring. The clock is another high quality fantastic Winterhalder and Hofmeier ting tang movement that strikes the three quarters on two gongs and the hour on a solitary gong. Original hands compliment the overall appearance and the case has decorative blockwork panels to the top and bottom of the case, dentil decoration below the shaped and carved pattern to the upper part of the case and Corinthian-style pillars flanking the brass bezel.Winterhalder & Hofmeier were considered the finest clockmakers of the Victorian era and were based in Germany’s Black Forest region.
