Two good and original mid 19th century rushlights of elegant and sculptural form. Blacksmith forged with a soft organic quality. Clearly made by the same hand with slight variations most noticeably round the drip pan set above the tripod base. With diamond shaped thumbpiece operating the rushlight jaws and corresponding diamond shaped pad feet. Probably from Yorkshire.
