Here is an extremely elegant watercolour portrait of a young woman, signed and painted in 1928 by Joan Russell.

Beautifully executed by a delicate hand, the woman dressed in a fashionable robe, gazes out wistfully with her piercing blue-grey eyes and is a superb example of a refined and graceful portrait of the period.

The painting is mounted under gold card and is in a glazed gilt frame with beautiful corner details, and would make a wonderful addition to any home.

The painting. measures 55cm by 46cm framed, and the actual painting measures 29cm by 22cm.
