Georgian Oak Longcase Clock Circa 1795

Handsome George III oak longcase or grandfather clock with 8 day striking movement and finely painted dial by John Hunter of Bridlington (a1775-1822). The case all cross-banded in mahogany and with mahogany hood pillars and moulds. The case in superb original condition with just a single small veneer repair. It is superb deep honey colour with great waxed patina. The movement has just been fully overhauled and is in perfect working order. Comes with all keys.

Size; 95" high, 20.5" wide (at hood) 10" deep (at hood).
