Superb quality late 18th century George III highly figured mahogany sofa table of larger size than usual. Raised on elegant end standards with steps to top of legs and terminating in brass claw casters and having a very high almost hidden plain stretcher. The highly figured top with drop flaps inlaid with ebony and boxwood lines with scrolling and dart motifs to each corner. Fitted with two oak and pine lined frieze drawers with old brass knobs. All in very fine original condition with no splits cracks, breaks or warps. Wonderful rich colour with great waxed patina. An absolutely classic Georgian sofa table.

Size; 29" high, 64" wide open, 40" wide closed, 24" deep.
