Spinka & Co has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The flaming torch is an ancient symbol of life, truth and the regenerative power of fire while the quiver of arrows signifies the ability to use force in the pursuit of justice, the base of the mirror having centre cartouche with berried laurel.

This antique mirror retains its original bevelled edge glass with some foxing (small scratch to the right hand side, shown on the photo), original gilt with some ‘touching up’ over the years, red oxidation showing through and its original backboards. All in excellent home ready condition. C1890
