Description

A stunning french bureau plat in kingwood that dates to around 1880

It is in the Louis XV revival style and is in good original condition with a nice waxed finish which really shows off its’ patina

Has a few historical imperfections on the veneer and the green inset leather, none of which are detrimental to its’ look

With a large oak lined frieze drawer with decorative ormalu handles and a heavy ormalu escutcheon in the centre

This is repeated in a dummy drawer on the reverse with matching decorative ormalu on the sides.

It has attractive cabriole legs with heavy figural ormalu mounts and strips, and ormalu sabots to the toes

A really elegant piece of furniture that would make a real statement in a period or contemporary home

Measures 31 inches high, 49 inches wide and 30 inches deep
