Circa 1870. An exhibition quality mid Victorian burr walnut, rosewood and marquetry Bonheur de jour. The sup structure with a central mirror flanked by a pair of glazed cupboards with a ¾ pierced brass gallery above the slope. The domed slope with marquetry opens to a well fitted interior of pigeon holes, drawers and a secret well, above a stylish shaped frieze, raised on four elegant cabriole legs with gilt metal throughout finishing on quality cast sabots.
