He is portrayed wearing the traditional dress of a 19th Century rural Irishman. A short vest, knee breeches, knit socks, a tall hat with a band that holds his pipe, and sturdy, country walking shoes known as brogues. Marked on the underside with a Royal Worcester printed crown and circle mark and the date code for 1894; model number 835.
