The clockmaker, Jean Vincenti & Co. won an award in 1834. The clock movement is stamped to show they were awarded a silver medal (''medaille d''argent'') by King Louis Philippe.
The clock with Violin architecture covered with a magnificent marquetry in Boulle technique, composed of brass net on a background of red tortoiseshell. Quality ornamentation in gilded and chiseled bronze with a pattern of flowers and stylized acanthus leaves. Large chased bronze dial set with twelve white enameled cartouches and blue Roman numerals
Original 8 day movement without modification, striking the hours and half-hours on a gong.
