Description

A lovely Edwardian period inlaid mahogany writing desk. Of very good construction in solid mahogany with attractive mahogany veneers. Embellished throughout with inlaid stringing in boxwood. Further decorated with charming satinwood inlay of floral scenes, ribbons, harebells and swags. The superstructure with a pair of short drawers surmounted with lift-up top stationary compartments. All finished with a pierced fretwork brass gallery. The main body of the desk fitted with a sumptuous green leather writing surface. With a series of 5 drawers (all lockable, key supplied). All standing on elegant square tapering legs which terminate in their original brass and ceramic castors. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition.
