Description

A fantastic 19th century solid gold fancy book chain in very good antique condition; connects with a hinged Albert clip and a large split ring. There's so much lovely detail here - from the stars, crosses and asterisk cutouts to the tiny flowers along the edges and the chasing on the split ring (which possibly dates back earlier than the Victorian chain).

All parts are solid nine-carat gold. The clip is stamped 9C G.E.W.

Length: Approximately 15.5 inches (39cm) end to end - this is choker length and will not fit everyone, please check your measurements! The necklace can be purchased without the split ring if preferred, just drop us a message; on its own the chain measures 14 and a quarter inches long (approx 36cm).

Width: Approx 7mm wide. The split ring is 2.6cm external diameter and 2.1cm internal diameter.

Weight: 25.6g (21.2g without the ring).
