Fine Marquetry Bureau Plat, After Edward Holmes Baldock

Description

A fine quality 19th Century English Victorian marquetry inlaid bureau plat in the French style. Having wonderful scenes of garlands of flowers and ribbons to the top and frieze. Three frieze drawers, ormolu mounts and mouldings, masks to either side and raised on elegant cabriole legs, terminating in scrolling feet.

Attributed to Edward-Holmes Baldock.

Edward Holmes Baldock (1777–1845) was a prominent London furniture dealer to the Royal Family, father of Edward Holmes Baldock.
