This late 19th-century oil painting by British artist Louise Parker (b. 1872) depicts a young lady singing while another plays the piano. It’s probably the artist’s sisters.(Mary) Louise Parker was predominantly known for idyllic domestic genre scenes. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she spent most of her life in London living with her family.
