I couldn''t resist this little beauty....if you like early lighting, you will understand why I had to buy this very early bronze 15thc English candle socket, that has been set nicely into this turned piece of ash from the 19thc....I once set a very similar candle socket exactly like this, into a turned fruitwood base,... a farmer had found the stem and candle socket walking his land on an ancient medieval village site, he owned...and like this it looked really good....the candle socket and base has a wonderful colour and patina.
English. C1450-70
