Pair of fine late Victorian oil on artist's board of three quarter length portrait of young lady carrying a vase of flowers and same young lady leaning on wall with posy both signed by James Andrew McColvin 1864-1920 contained in there original gilt frames. Both in fine condition with no damage or over-painting. The artist was born near Durham and worked most of his life in Newcastle, latterly moving to London in 1909. He did not exhibit. These are very typical example of his work depicting young ladies in various poses.
