Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
A comfortable and timeless chair.
This fine chair is made from solid Walnut featuring a timeless tub shape with pierced highly carved back supports, reeded scroll caved arm supports and finishing to turned front legs which stand on its 2 original ferruled solid polished brass castors on black porcelain wheels. The chair is complete with its original French polished finish in fantastic original condition with the idillic rich Walnut Colour.

This chair has been re-upholstered to a very high standard in a material very similar to what it would have originally. We estimate that this re-cover was done in the 1950's so is vintage in itself. The material is a traditional tapestry depicting a floral scene and is very clean without wear or marks.

We have just vacuum cleaned the upholstery, cleaned and waxed the Walnut frame. The material could be left as it because of its fantastic condition (from a smoke and pet free house) or it could be fully upholstered to your taste if it would not suit decor as is. We would be able to quote for re-upholstering this chair for you if you enquire.

This item is structurally solid, in good order with no loose joints and has been thoroughly checked over in our workshop. The material and inner padding seems to be in very good condition. The springs do not clunk and the chair is very comfortable to sit in.
